The profit of Kotak Mahindra Bank zoomed nearly 80 per cent in the first quarter of FY25, in part due to the completion of a deal in the general insurance sector with Zurich Insurance Group, the company said on Saturday.
Zurich Insurance Group picked 70 per cent stake in Kotak General Insurance and the deal was completed in Q1FY25. This transaction resulted in an increase of Rs 3,013 crore in Kotak Mahindra Bank’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) and Rs 2,730 in standalone figures.
